Vol I
The vol.I issue of "BELLE VUE press" contains about sixties music, fetichs & objects, emphasizing in mod,ska, beat and soul waves.

You can find a tribute to the mendor of 'groove' Quincy Jones, an interview with Juan Mateo O'Brien of the Chilian sixties band "Los Vidrios Quebrados",and reports about the Lambretta scooters, the most famous Jamaican studio recording "Studio One", the painter Roy Lichtenstein, "The Human Expression", the part of the amphetamines in the music system and generally. There are also informations about some music records which have influenced diferrent young moovements. No c.d.




Vol II

The second issue of Belle Vue press undertaken, once more, about sixties culture, music, objects and some other things from that part of time. In vol.2 you can read about one of the kind sixties, Detroit, soul band “Martha & The Vandellas”, a report to the maker of jazz-rock, the drummer, “Ginger Baker” and about the life and act of the psychedelic-beatnik writer “Henry Miller”. In this issue there are references of “Mary Quant”, the absolutely sixties designer, “Trojan” records and one of the best r'n'b-jazzy band, from Liverpool (U.K.), “The Remo Four”. So, there are more and some vinyl records review which affected a miscellanies young movement… again.

Vol III
The Belle Vue Press strikes again… The third issue is out now! In this volume you can find articles concerning “Etta James”, the southern soul pioneer, the history of “Home Of The Beat Stars”, The Star Club, one of the most famous place around the world, the amazing “Bridget Riley” as a typical representative of Op Art plus info's for “Sergio Mendes”, maybe the biggest performer of bossa nova & easy listening Brazilian sounds. You can find also Jamaican slug expressions and finally an article about the Southern states psyche-punk leader group under the name “We The People” as well as some interesting records review.

Included in c.d. phase some rare singles from the past.



Vol IV
Belle Vue is back! This issue is dedicated to the sixties cinema. You can read articles about the early years of “Curtis Mayfield”, the creepy story of “Peter Sellers” as well as the history of “Music Libraries” and of course “Finos Film”, our favorite Greek cinema company. There is also an article about Vespa in cinema, a few words about the first Jamaican film, under the name “The Harder They Come”, plus some reviews of our favorites soundtracks.

From the unreleased Greek film “The Troubles” with The Forminx! (1966)

Like The Beatles “Hard Days Night” film, that was the first attempt to make this famous Greek band internationally known.

The first part of the film was directed by young Theo Angelopoulos (in his first cinema steps) and was completed by Costas Lychnaras. Blue eyed demonstrated!



Vol V
On your feet! This is the fifth issue of Belle Vue press. Screen at the biographies and discographies of Young Holt Unlimited (obscure representatives of Chicago soul), Gabor Szabo (Hungarian inspired composer). Enjoy the continuing of the Jamaican glossary and few pages of the Geanie's comics. Read an interview of Barry Tashian- the singer of The Remains- about his book “Ticket To Ride: The Extraordinary Diary Of The Beatles' Last Tour”.

In vol. V you can find also an article regarding one of our favorite cars, the fabulous Jaguar E- type. Don't forget to check the vinyl rarities reviews. Vol VI
We must be freaking out. The first issue with a little bit of color!!! (What was really happened to our lovely black & white old days?) Vol VII
Hey Folks! Here we are! Belle Vue press vol. VII is out now! In this issue you can read reviews about Belle Vue gigs, like “Belle Vue Weekender”, “The Athenaeum Cave” and “Modernground Express” and also you can enjoy some photos from these events. You can also find info for the early Tinas’ Turner band “The Ikettes”, articles about our favorites English bands like “The Action”, “The Zombies” and a detailed report about “Dave Davani Four”. As you riffle through, you can meet the “Rules of Sixties Costumes Design”, our resident reviews for some records and singles, four illustrations by Miss Geanie and interviews from “The Hipstairs” and Frank Popp. Including the second release of our label “Belle Vue 45’s Series” with “The Hipstairs”, the only combo in Greece that plays a mixture of Hammond Beat and a la Blue Note tunes!
