INTRODUCTION
Are you ready for this? There were
some rumors it was coming to... The third Belle Vue Weekender is announced.
08, 09, & 10 of June 2007 at Jam club, in Platamonas, Greece.
It's the same place three years ago the first Weekender took place. A really
experimental act organized by some friends who happens to release a fanzine
press. Rob from New Untouchables came for first time In Greece, The Hipstairs
reborn for this event, special ska night, Frantic V and Overtones at their best.
There was unbelievable happy feeling, jamming, boozing and dancing for those
who made to come. Definitely it was successful and at least promising for any
other up coming event.
The second Belle Vue Weekender was quite professional if you think that the
organizers were totally amateurs and they continue to be. Six of the finest
Greek bands of revival 60's era played on the stage of Jam club and two djs,
Henry from MilanoMods plus Apostolos 66, span some records in a crowded place,
with a lot of fun and beers….
Step by step, with a lot of work and courage Belle Vue finally managed to make
this early announcement for the third Belle Vue Weekender, an undoubtedly international
hosting event. The main target is to present novelties from a decade that hasn't
been forgotten. The recently formed The Barbara Farmers and The Jacks are the
hottest Greek news. They promise to spread over the Jam club with moody garage
symphonies and primitive poppy melodies.
The Hipstairs and The Frantic V would be included also. They helped the Situation
from the very beginning. Except that, The Hipstairs is one of the most upward
bands of Greece. They are getting better and better day by day. Frantic V on
the other half, continue to shake the masses and they are going to change their
sound and shape a little bit, for this performance, by adding a new member on
vocals. Surely the main innovation in this Weekender will be the appearance
of a foreign band. With great enthusiasm is going to be presented Frank Popp
Ensemble. This group maybe is the reflection of the most 60's fresh revival
sound in our days. Two hot Mediterranean DJs, Henry and Felix Dominguez plus
Mr Popp will underline the groovy nights. Belle Vue members plus DJ Vagabond
will play obscure 45's even in the afternoons. New artwork from closest relatives
Apostolos and Ms Geanie will be exhibited.
Be well prepared for the three days welter confession about the 6T's.
